Dogs I Have Known, Loved,
And Cleaned Up After

This was my first dog.
Technically, he started out as my husband's dog, but once
I joined the pack, Shotze quickly switched his allegiance. Dogs
develop a deep fondness for the person who feeds them dinner every
night. Turns out husbands operate under much the same principle.
Shotze always managed to look miserable, even when nothing was wrong.
He probably got more dog treats that way.

This was my next dog.
Bingo was an "all-American,"
which is a fancy way of saying "mutt." As you can see, he was part
Border Collie, which accounted for his alert and active manner.
When we first brought Bingo to the vet, she said, "Border Collies are
so smart!" Alas, we never did figure out which breed Bingo
inherited his intelligence from.

This is my dog now... No, wait a minute,
that's a cat!
I keep getting confused because Apollo sleeps all day and
drinks out of the toilet.
